In the midst of the worst health crisis this nation has ever faced, the nation is struggling. Our government at all levels are taking extraordinary measures to help the citizens of this nation. Yet we look and see a nation in chaos. There is a simple reason for that. It is the lack of leadership from a vast majority of the alleged leaders at all levels of government. The news media is out there preaching the word of this being Armageddon when it’s not. There are far too many supposedly responsible elected officials and news agencies, from international to local, who are not being responsible when telling of the tale of this virus. We present to you a few highlights of their mis-adventures.
We will begin by putting before you what we feel is perhaps the most correct and important article reported since the outbreak started. The article which you can see here, states, and we’ll quote “The world’s leaders need to first and foremost calm people down,”. That, in our opinion, is the most profound and important statement made by anyone during this entire catastrophe. Leaders stop scaring people and start leading them.
It’s hard to tell with all the hype about the coronavirus in the news out there, but there is news about the virus that doesn’t get reported. We found this article that describes one such under-reported story. Now we know this story to be true simply because this medication, chloroquine, is all that they are using in Great Britain to treat the virus and they are having some good success. This medication is a relatively common, inexpensive anti-malarial medication.
We then came across this interesting article. This is an interactive map. Just click on the state you are interested in and it will pull up the current status of the virus in that state. We would recommend that you keep a copy of this map and you’ll the ability to see how it is spreading.
Now there are other agencies out there trying to let you know what they are doing to help fight this pandemic. If you are interested in any particular agency’s response we would recommend that you go to this site and go down the page to see if you can find the agency you are looking for. It may just save you some time.
We then came across this this recommendation from the CDC. This actually sounds like good advice. We would recommend that people should follow it.
Now there are many shenanigans going on by our supposed leaders. We are going to describe a few to you. We’ll begin with the story found this link. It seems that at least five Senators, four Republicans and one Democrat. That includes our own Senator Jim Inhofe. This is insider trading. For those of us that are not elected to office, it is a criminal action, but the congress has made it legal for those in power. Making profit off the nation’s misery is shameful.
Then there is this article from Sky News. The cities of New York and Los Angeles have closed all venues for movies, dining, sports and others. Other states are taking less drastic measures but are still limiting the number of people that can gather at one spot. Restaurants are closed to dine in service but may provide drive thru service in some states.
There is this article from the Center for Strategic Studies. It indicates that the energy flow, oil, has been disrupted. The virus has in fact had an effect on the energy flow. We find that the study is flawed in one aspect. There is no mention of the current oil war being waged by Saudi Arabia and Russia. That conflict between the two oil and gas giants needs to be considered.
Now we all know that liberals never fail to take advantage of a good crisis. An example of an attempt to take such an advantage was in this story from USA Today. The proposal was to release inmates from prison because they stood the risk of catching the virus. Their chances are no greater than any American’s chances. This was a couple of social justice warriors trying to make a name for themselves.
We also have found cases of elected officials abusing their authority. We found this article from Breitbart where the Mayor of one city has basically used an executive order to remove citizens second amendment rights. She happens to be a Democrat.
She was not alone. The Mayor of New Orleans is alleged to have done in this article. Now multiple left leaning fact checking sites are saying she did not. We gave you the information so you could decide for yourself.
One of the more humorous post coming from any agency has to be this article from Oklahoma’s own Guthrie News page. The title of the article says it all. “Guthrie Police suspend all criminal activity within city limits” Now if you really need a laugh just open this article and read it. You know this was done to ease the minds of the citizens of that town.
Now after weeks of delays, Speaker Pelosi held up a vote on a Corona virus bill so her party could run ads against Republicans on Super Tuesday, a step was finally taken to help the American Public. We found this article in the Rushmore Daily that shows the President signing a multi-billion dollar bill that will affect every American. Finally help is on the way.
We were a little relieved when we read this article. At least at this point, and at the time of writing of this article, the President was not considering a national quarantine. For now, that’s good news. Two governors in states highly effected by the virus have had to take more drastic actions.
We found a bit of disturbing information in this article. It seems that although the virus is more lethal to the elderly population around twenty percent (20%) of all hospitalizations for the virus are from the 20 to 44 age group. That would indicate that all those students who decided to take their spring break in Florida, despite the warning, are in more danger than they thought. Typical millennials though.
Finally, after all the hype and all the misleading information that the public has been told, there is a glimmer of hope that we found in this report. Washington state, ground zero for this virus, has started to make a bend on the number of new cases. In short, the case load has started to level out. If this is true, and not just a false report, we may be at the beginning of the road to recovery.
