IS THERE SEXUAL BIAS IN REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP?
STATE PARTY OFFICIALS AND A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE TULSA AREA
A CALL FOR NEW LEADERSHIP IN THE STATE PARTY AND A RECALL ON AN ELECTION
THE WATCHMAN
It's not very often that public officials open themselves to public ridicule and removal from the ruling committee. This last election cycle found at least two Republican Representatives openly supporting Democratic candidates. It wasn't only displayed by just the officials involved, other members of the House openly supported liberal Republicans to replace Conservative Incumbents. Yet with all this going on, the Oklahoma State Party Chair used the current rules to have only one liberal removed from the committee.
Republican Harold Wright donated to and endorsed the liberal Democrat candidate in a Senate Race in his area. This is cause enough to ask why the State Chair, Pam Pollard, refused to use this rule on others, especially Carol Bush. Why is she allowing the Oklahoma Republican Party being allowed to be overrun with liberals? They are defeating the hard work and actions by various committees and grass roots organizations.
How can someone who is a little bit lacking awareness ever get elected to office? We would like to know how someone would think that opening a surf shop in the Brookside neighborhood of Tulsa would be successful? What was she thinking? We found that this article is not showing her as a good guy as it claims.
We next went to www.votesmart.org to look at her key votes since she's been in office. You should open this link and take a look at it. It plainly shows that she's not working for the citizens of her district or her state. She voted to raise the taxes on the citizens, but when it came time to raise the takes on wind, Oil and Gas, she voted to let them keep their taxes lower than what is the average for this area. If you go to her campaign finance page on this site, you will see why. Most of her big donors are energy companies that donated the most. She also did not vote on two pieces of legislation that were considered controversial. We must ask why?
The GOP has rules that give elected officials a seat on the ruling committee of the GOP at the state level. It also allows for the removal a little more than a week ago that rule was implemented to remove Representative Harold Wright, but not one single soul said a word about Representative Carol Bush. This is another question that defies any logic what so ever. Notice should be given to Republican Representative Bush that Tulsa influences the state's economy. She is the proud owner of a minus 2.5 rating on the Platform Index. We want to know if she is a Republican or a Democrat dressed in Republican Clothing? Representative Carol Bush's endorsement helped defeat Congressman Steve Russel and succeeded in ending Mr. Russel's career. A Democrat is now the Congresswoman for the 5th district in Oklahoma. Her first vote as a sitting Representative was for putting Nancy Pelosi back in as speaker of the House. She touted Republican Representative Carl Bush's endorsement throughout her campaign.
We did try and find Congresswoman Horn's campaign finance records. For some reason they were not listed in the Federal Elections Committee. We went back to www.Votesmart.org and obtained this this information about her campaign finances. We will keep working on it.
The conclusion is obvious. The GOP Chair, Pam Pollard, and Speaker of the House, Charles McCall must remove this poser from the ruling committee. The Speaker should also have her removed from all committees and a censure should be placed on her. The voters in her district should start a recall petition and remove her from office. The GOP Chair is not doing her job and needs to be replaced. The destruction of the party is upon us.
