The junior Senator from Oklahoma is not showing much party loyalty these days. We are beginning to doubt if he has ever showed much party loyalty. As if he just wants to give known socialist a full briefing of all the secrets of this country. It forces us to ask Senator Lankford what are you thinking?

 

We found this report where Senator Lankford promised to help alleged President elect Biden gain access to classified information. The Senator has either a noticeably short memory or has forgiven the Obama administration entirely. His complaint that the administration will not meet with the candidates team rings even more hollow when one considers that as vice president, Joe Biden was part of the group that allegedly blocked access to sensitive information to members of the incoming administration.

From the very beginning, we want to be clear that this is something that all candidates at every level of politics, regardless of political affiliation do. Accepting donations from friends and relatives from out of state is perfectly legal. Accepting donations from corporations, political action committees and unions is also perfectly legal.

An example of what we feel as unacceptable is a Republican politician in Oklahoma accepting contributions from nearly all the Native American Tribes recognized by the federal government and not lifting a finger to write a piece of legislation to assist them. He is the subject of a later story.

 

But was is chilling is once again foreign money has been detected entering the campaign funds of one political action committee and being distributed to Democratic candidates this time without the candidate’s knowledge. That is a violation of campaign finance law. This is a matter of grave importance to every single voter not just in Oklahoma, but in the Nation. The Federal Election Commission is investigating.

When people elect a person to represent them in the U.S. House or Senate, we expect them to represent us fully despite their individual personal believes especially during the times of a national crisis. When they allow their own beliefs to interfere with the welfare of the people, they represent then other elements are involved. It could be just their own beliefs, or it could be money for their next campaign. That is not what we are here to decide. This article is on some of the various ways that Senator Lankford has made critical errors that do not represent the values of Oklahomans.

 

We begin with this video from July 3^rd of this year where he is walking back a previous statement he made about getting rid of Columbus day. We are not going to argue the point with him except to say both him and all of those arguing for getting rid of it leave one particularly important fact out. There is scientific evidence that the Vikings discovered America a few centuries before Columbus.

 

We next found this article where Senator Lankford criticized the President on the way he separated children from parents. You can read the article here. It seems to us that anyone with any cursory idea of the situation would realize that the family separation policy was initiated by the Obama administration. It happened while Senator Lankford was in office. Maybe he should study some of the last administrations directives to give him a better understanding.

 

We next went to this site and looked at his Wikipedia page. There is a lot of good information on this page. You can get a lot of information on his background.

 

We then found this article that shows that the Senator is against gun control and raising taxes. Both those items we can agree with him on.

There is no denying that racial tensions have been high across the nation for the last ten days or longer. What many of you miss is that it is also undeniable that this tension is being stoked and used for political gain. The combination of the two has turned into a deadly affair for many police officers, store owners and individual innocent civilians across this nation. We are now hearing an even deadlier tone from the crowds. A tone that would call for the complete anarchy in this country. For those of you who have not realized it yet, there is a massive power struggle going on in this country. It is not just between the Democrats and Republicans; it goes far beyond that. It is the deep desire to take guns away from ordinary citizens. That desire stems from an even deeper desire to control every aspect of your life. They do not want you to have liberty. They want you to do what you are told and shut up. Their biggest ally in their quest is the mainstream media. They will tell you what they want you to hear and not the truth in any matter.

We have always known that politics has always been a dirty business. If you ever wanted to know what was happening all you needed to do was follow the money. There was a time when influence was bought by corporations using their own money but now, here in Oklahoma, they have found a way to use the taxpayer's money to buy that influence. We honestly thought things could not get much worse, and thankfully, for this year anyway, they did not.

Many people in this nation feel that politicians turn a death ear to those they are supposed to serve. Politicians in turn do not understand why their constituents are not pleased with their performance. Those of us who study politics wonder why if people are so unhappy about their performance why they keep voting for them. What is particularly troubling is when they allow something to happen during a fiscal shortfall and claim there was nothing, they could do to stop it. The only people they are fooling are themselves.

What brought our attention to this story was this article from News Channel 9. Now here we are in the middle of a pandemic, thousands of people unemployed, scraping to get buy and our alleged leaders who are supposed to work for us are giving themselves a 35% pay raise. Have they earned it, not in our book. Do they deserve it? No way in hell. Could it have been stopped? Yes, if they had wanted to. If there was ever a reason to vote people out of office this is it. It appears that they feel that just because tax revenue is down, and the state's budget has been cut that they deserve a pay raise.

In this current pandemic we find ourselves in there are many rumors and tall tales of what is actually going on. Strange things are even happening in politics when you have two staunch anti- President Trump governors actually praising the president for all of the effort and assistance that is being put in to fight this illness.

In the midst of the worst health crisis this nation has ever faced, the nation is struggling. Our government at all levels are taking extraordinary measures to help the citizens of this nation. Yet we look and see a nation in chaos. There is a simple reason for that. It is the lack of leadership from a vast majority of the alleged leaders at all levels of government. The news media is out there preaching the word of this being Armageddon when it’s not. There are far too many supposedly responsible elected officials and news agencies, from international to local, who are not being responsible when telling of the tale of this virus. We present to you a few highlights of their mis-adventures.

We will begin by putting before you what we feel is perhaps the most correct and important article reported since the outbreak started. The article which you can see here, states, and we’ll quote “The world’s leaders need to first and foremost calm people down,”. That, in our opinion, is the most profound and important statement made by anyone during this entire catastrophe. Leaders stop scaring people and start leading them.

We sometimes wonder why those we elect to represent us make such bad decisions. We always seem to send highly educated individuals to offices to represent us and we assume that because of their education that they are intelligent. That is the mistake the voters will make time and again. Just because they have a degree beside their name doesn’t mean they have the one vital element to make them intelligent. That one vital element is common sense. Ladies and gentlemen, it is glaringly absent in the Chamber of the Oklahoma State Senate and we shall show that here tonight.

What prompted our look into this story was an article from the www.muskogeepolitico.com which you can read here. Now there has been an attempt to get an Article 5 Convention of the States ongoing for several years now. We don’t consider even the remote possibility that they have the right to do so. What we question is the political climate in which they want to bring one up. We doubt that anyone would disagree that these are politically dangerous times in our great nation. We ask is it really the time to bring an untested, untried format of changing our Constitution to a convention where the only guidance given is that the Congress shall call for it? We think not.

We are not going to sugar coat anything here. We all know that politics is a dirty business. We all like to think that when we donate to the campaign of any politician that he cannot be bought by special interest groups. Sadly, that is often not the case. Many elected officials have their campaigns financed by those special interest groups with the idea of influencing the vote of the elected official. Far too many times they are successful.

What brought our attention to this subject was this article to the editor of the on-line news publication SoonerPolitics.org. The individual raised some very valid questions that needed to be investigated. So we did.

The very first thing we did was find the definition of what a conflict of interest is. Wikipedia has a definition that covers several areas. You can read their entire definition by opening this link. The area we found to be most appropriate in this situation stated, and we’ll quote “The presence of conflict of interest is independent of the occurrence of inappropriateness. Therefore, a conflict of interest can be discovered and voluntarily defused before any corruption occurs. A conflict of interest exist if the circumstances are reasonably believed (on the basis of past experience and objective evidence) to create a risk that a decision may be unduly influenced by other, secondary interest, and not whether a particular individual is actually influenced by a secondary interest.”

During the last few months many have turned their attention to the dog and pony show that was the impeachment of President Trump. It goes without saying that many newsworthy stories were overlooked during this time frame. Some people rely on these stories being overlooked at times like this so they simply can get away with a problem that developed, that was not of their own making. Sadly we have such a story tonight. It involves national and state politicians and parties, and stoops to criminal activity on several of the perpetrators. The saddest part of this story is, we offered them a platform from which they could show that they took the laws seriously and had corrected the situation and they chose to remain silent. We can remain silent no longer.

There are times when we have to sit here and wonder how people ever got passed their exams to be able to practice in the fields that they have chosen. Law is perhaps the most interesting of these fields of study and work, and one of the most expensive degrees to obtain. We must ask then why is it that so many attorneys seem to have such a limited understanding of Constitutional Law? The most commonly attacked Constitutional Right is the 2^nd Amendment. There is no exception to that policy this year either. Below is listed several pieces of proposed legislation that are proposed which all violate the Constitutional rights of citizens. Yes, you will see names mentioned more than once. We are going to talk about the Red Flag Law proposed by Senator Boren. Much of what we will actually say applies to all the pieces of proposed legislation and should be remembered.

Let’s face it folks. It’s the time of the year for the annual culling of legislation being offered by alleged good legislators who in reality are doing nothing more than paying back the people who paid for their campaigns. First up to get headlines were educators and former educators. What was their interest? They seem to feel that charter schools, particularly virtual charter schools are getting to much of the education dollar. That comes as no surprise. Both of the unions have been fighting against charter schools for years. They want those dollars for themselves.

We first caught wind of what was going on from this article from www.OklahomaWatch.org. We recognized a few of the names mentioned as being either educators or former educators. We really have no problem with that. It’s a noble profession.

We know that in today’s volatile political climate and fake news environment many good informative news articles are never reported because they don’t fit the agenda of the mainstream media. Sadly, many of those stories affect the everyday citizens such as us. These stories range from violent crimes, illegal immigrants committing crimes, politicians committing crimes and political parties committing crimes. Today we shall expose one such story and the lack of cooperation from an incumbent U. S. Representatives staff to try and resolve the matter.

We do want to be perfectly clear about one thing in this article. When the funds were accepted by the campaign committee for this representative, we have no reason to believe that they were aware of the situation. Where we have the problem is in the complete lack of concern that the campaign had over the problem.

  Oklahoma’s version of the Freedom of Information Act does work, although there is plenty of room for improvement. Perhaps the biggest complaint most users have, including us, is that there is no time limit placed on the responding agency to actually make a response to the request. We, as we’re sure many, people and organizations who do use the act to obtain information where initially encouraged to see legislation placing time limits for response. We then started doing some research and feel others should put a stop to this what we feel is nothing more than an attempt to keep information from the public.
