VIOLENCE IN AMERICA WHAT ARE THE REAL NUMBERS

- THE WATCHMAN

The liberal press is starting to get involved in the gun debate. Time after time they claim those innocent people who own firearms and the NRA are to blame for the devastating number of mass shootings that this nation suffers. They imply that the United States has the largest number of mass shootings in the world. A quick trip to Google and a little research would always find the untruth in their statements. We could care less what they tell you, because we will give you the truth of the problem.

What brought this story to our attention was this article. Although well meaning in nature, it fails to provide its readers with all the facts. It fails to mention the number of incidents occurred in zones clearly marked as weapons not allowed. Depending on what government agency you decide to get your information from, that number is 86% using the Census Bureau statistics or 94% based on F.B.I statistics. It is believed that the shooters use these areas because of the lack of protection available to the citizens. What is truly remarkable is that with all the firearms in citizens hands, firearms are not the leading weapons used in murders.

We did a little research on the subject and found this article. It clearly states that according to the F.B.I. three times as many murders are committed with knives rather than firearms. Are we to become like London where knives are prohibited to the ;aw abiding citizens? I don’t think so. That would be ludicrous.

A CONFLICT OF INTEREST IN OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM

THERE IS A CONFLICT OF INTEREST
IN OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM OR JUST THE APPEARANCE OF ONE

- THE WATCHMAN
Often times are done within government agencies and private associations. The question is whether or not they represent a conflict of Interest. Outward appearance would tend to lean towards there being a conflict of interest when they are not. Two such entities are the District Attorney’s Council, a state agency, and the District Attorney’s Association, a private entity. The answer will surprise all.
What got us interested in this subject was article. There are two groups in Oklahoma that we are going to talk about. One is the Oklahoma District Attorney Council, a state agency, and the Oklahoma District Attorney’s Association, a private organization. The first group is a state agency and subject to the open meetings act. The second group being a private association is not subject to the open meetings act. Because both groups are comprised of the same individuals, has made people a little un-trusting of both groups. We can understand why.
Here’s a brief summary of how things go. There is a call to order, introductions, get down to do the business scheduled votes and adjournment. They all get themselves some fresh coffee and five minutes later They start the meeting of the second group, a private organization meaning the meeting of this group is behind closed doors and the business they do is private.

MS13 Illegal Aliens: "Here To Do Jobs We Won't Do"?

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS IN OKLAHOMA WITHOUT
CRIMINAL RECORDS FACE DEPORTATION

- THE WATCHMAN -

The one thing we seldom do, and probably do more of, is hitting journalist with a report that flat out shows political correctness. The journalism community, whether it be print, televised, on the radio or in an online forum should never include Politically correct terminology. Unfortunately, today we live in a country and state that is to obsessed with being politically correct. This week we had a story cross our desk that shows how political correctness hurts America and Oklahoma. Sadly, we will present it to you.

The State of Oklahoma is a state of laws. The United States is a nation of laws. People are expected to follow them, but always break a few. We find incredibly disturbing that most politicians and a vast majority of journalist fail to understand that crossing or border is a crime. If you don’t mind a dry read and want to learn the facts on a subject we would recommend that you start here. These are the statutes on immigration. Look close enough and you will find that there are even provisions that would put a politician in jail for making the area the control into a sanctuary sight. The system isn’t broken, the truth is that neither party wants to do anything about it due to cheap labor that the opened and unsecured border provides.

SEEKING JUSTICE BECAUSE OUR REPRESENTATIVES ARE AFRAID TO DO SO

SEEKING JUSTICE BECAUSE
OUR REPRESENTATIVES ARE AFRAID TO DO SO
THE WATCHMAN
We don’t normally stray from political concerns within the state of Oklahoma, but after receiving this from a friend, we felt it needed to be brought to your attention. We all have the right to redress our grievances with the Government. This is usually done by contacting your Representative and Senators. When this fails, people often do nothing about it. There are other ways to seek redress of your grievances. What follows is a letter from an individual to the U.S. House Ethics Committee. The name of the sender has been eliminated for their privacy as he requested.

ARE OUR CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATES TRULY REPRESENTING THEIR DISTRICTS?

...OR ARE THEY LETTING OUR FREEDOMS EVAPORATE ?

- THE WATCHMAN
We decided to step out of state politics this week because of a story we found as we were going through our news feeds this week. We came across a very interesting article that is or should be a major concern of everyone in the nation, not just Oklahomans. What was put into danger by three of our States House Delegation was the privacy of your family’s medical records. Now wee sent those Representatives to D.C. to work for the people of this state, not to deny them of their rights.
What we found was an article on this amendment that funds a nationwide system for you and your family’s medical records. This proposal has been up for a vote and defeated several times. What we found was that should this bill make it through the Senate, the government will be funding the operation to set in place a nationwide database of each individuals medical records.
While we will concede that having an individual’s medical records would be useful in cases of an emergency, whether that emergency happened close to home or on a vacation or business trip, it would also be another way for identity thieves to gain your personal medical, social security, financial status and your entire world to the thieves. This constitutes a major set back for those of us who like their privacy. We also see this as a waste of taxpayer’s dollars on a project that will only leave everyone in harms way.
By opening the link above, you will see how each House member voted to protect your rights. Rather than you having to do the work, we are going to provide it to you below.
  • Oklahoma 1st District (R) Kevin Hern voted Conservative, No
  • Oklahoma 2nd District (R)Markwayne Mullins, voted Liberal Aye
  • Oklahoma 3rd District (R)Frank Lucas, voted Liberal Aye
  • Oklahoma 4th District (R)Tom Cole, voted Conservative No
  • Oklahoma 5thDistrict(D) Kendra Horn, voted liberal Aye.
What is surprising about these votes? Those three yes votes gave the Democratic who control the House 16.3% of the votes needed to pass this legislation. There was only one surprise in these votes. Rep. Tom Cole voted as a Conservative. It surprised us simply because of his voting record. Normally he would be in favor of spending more money. We thank you for your vote Representative Cole. Representatives Lucas and Mullin have always been liberals. We weren’t sure about Representative Hern, but we must thank him for his vote.
Representative Horn’s vote was expected. This is the woman who worked as a lobbyist while employed by one of our previous Representatives. She ran as being “Tired of partisan politics “and has only voted no on one bill since being elected, and it was a bill she co-sponsored. What a joke she has turned out to be.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST FOR THE CHAIRMAN

A QUESTION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST FOR THE CHAIRMAN OF THE APPROPRIATIONS  AND BUDGET COMMITTEE

THE WATCHMAN

Sometimes people are put into positions of authority that they really either can’t handle or there is a serious conflict of interest. We have found one such individual in the Oklahoma State House of Representatives. Now we don’t know if the charges are certain or the working of a spiteful former spouse. Either way, the House Leadership should have acted to prevent the conflict of interest from happening. This will once again prove to be a poor judgment call of the Speaker of the House.

On January 2, 2019, the Chairman of the Appropriations and Budget Committee was accused of being just over $27,000,00 dollars behind 9n child support. With the case pending inn the Courts, he never should have been allowed to chair the Appropriation and Budget Committee. You can read more about it by opening this link here.

Is Horn Working For Us?

IS SHE WORKING FOR THE PEOPLE?
OR THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY
The Watchman
We know it’s early to be talking about candidates for the 2020 elections, but because of the circumstances we had to bring to light the incredibly dismal performance of Kendra Horn, (D), 5th District of Oklahoma. We wanted to present this information prior to the 208 elections, but her campaign finance reports were curiously missing from the Federal Election Commission. How she got elected and the sexist attitude of then Oklahoma GOP Chairman at the time, led to a male member of the legislature being disciplined by the party but the female legislature could get away with it. We did a story pointing to this matter a couple of months back.
We were surprised at that time of not being able to see who donated to her campaign. Federal Election and became Commission was void of any campaign records for Congresswoman Horn. That has stalled our investigation in her records.
The first place we looked was at her web page. You can read the page by going here Kendra Horn.
